You cannot be an AI "leader" if you don't understand its foundation — Statistics.

When the going gets rough and your GenAI model starts hallucinating, your chatbot's F1/accuracy tanks because your test set wasn't comprehensive, or your R-squared can't pass UAT and your client wants their money back, it's the folks who understand statistical theory that get you out of the hole.

Besides the resources in the post below, I have something that could help if you are just starting out, or need a refresher. My old professor, Cosma Shalizi (don't ask him about me, I was a terrible student), kept his Carnegie Mellon lecture notes and hands-on exercises for two senior/master's level statistical theory classes and hosts them for free!
